That kind of adult league is valuable because it keeps experienced players involved and gives the local scene continuity.

Raleigh’s field hockey future depends on whether youth programs, adult leagues, clubs, and schools can keep connecting. The area does not yet have the same depth as older Mid-Atlantic field hockey markets, but it has the ingredients for growth: population, families, nearby universities, regional clubs, and a Triangle-wide sports culture.
